OREANDA-NEWS By the end of October, Russia increased oil exports by 130 thousand barrels per day, to 4.87 million per day. This is reported in the November report of the International Energy Agency (IEA).
During the reporting period, the average daily volume of Russian oil supplies to Turkey also increased significantly. This Mediterranean country received an average of 840,000 barrels per day at its terminals. The increase amounted to 210 thousand barrels. At the same time, about 800 thousand barrels of Russian oil were moving daily in an unknown direction, according to a review by agency employees.
Taking into account petroleum products, the average daily volume of Russian oil exports in the second month of autumn decreased by 90 thousand barrels and amounted to 7.3 million. Daily supplies of petroleum products from the Russian Federation in October turned out to be at the level of 2.48 million barrels, the IEA concluded.
Earlier, Indian Oil and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that his country had reduced purchases of Russian raw materials by 10 percent in October. He attributed the decrease in imports from one of the main buyers of oil from the Russian Federation to high price competition in the global energy market. Such a decision was not of a strategic nature, the whole point is that alternative suppliers offered New Delhi to purchase oil at lower prices than Russian ones.
