OREANDA-NEWS Rosneft and the China National Oil and Gas Corporation (CNPC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of scientific and technical cooperation within the framework of the V Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum.

The memorandum provides for the development of cooperation in the field of exploration and production technologies, oil refining and petrochemistry, as well as energy transfer technologies, including new energy sources.

Rosneft and CNPC have been reliable partners for almost two decades. The companies successfully cooperate in a number of areas of activity, contributing to the development of the energy dialogue between Russia and China.

Rosneft and CNPC cooperate within the framework of the Joint Coordination Committee (JCC), which was established by the companies in 2017 to work out promising areas of cooperation. Among them: cooperation in the field of exploration and development of oil and gas fields, oil refining and petrochemistry, trade in oil and petroleum products, scientific and technical research, personnel training, etc.
