OREANDA-NEWS. Belarusian operator Gomeltransneft Druzhba began repairing sections and stations of the oil pipeline Druzhba.

As Interfax news agency reports with reference to the company’s representatives, defects are repaired at the sections Unecha – Mazyr and Mazyr – Brest.

Igor Demin, the adviser to the president of Transneft, told RIA Novosti that planned repair does not affect the transit of oil from Russia.

Earlier, Gomeltransneft Druzhba reported that it had carried out repair work on two sections of the Mazyr – Brest-3 section, where a large number of defects were revealed in the course of diagnostics. The company also paid attention to the fact that a schedule of repair has been developed, work will be fulfilled every month, and a decrease in pressure in the pipeline and a partial stop of oil traffic are possible.
