OREANDA-NEWS. United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, during a telephone conversation with Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei, confirmed the readiness of American companies to begin supplying oil at competitive market prices immediately. This was announced by a head of the press service of the US State Department, Morgan Ortagus.

Earlier, after a meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Pompeo said that Washington was ready to provide Minsk with energy resources in full.

As for today’s talks, Belarusian Foreign Ministry reported that the parties also discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation, the regional and international agenda, including the matters connected with energy security.
