Polish Foreign Ministry: Warsaw in Every Possible Way Interfered with the Construction of Nord Stream-2
OREANDA-NEWS. Poland tried to interfere with the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, said Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Marcin Przydach in an interview with Polish Radio.
"We have been delaying the completion of Nord Stream 2 for several years," Pshidach noted and added that if it had not been for Warsaw's attempts, the construction of the gas pipeline would have been completed earlier.
At the same time, the postponement of the introduction of Nord Stream 2 into operation benefits the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. The longer the delay, the better, stressed Pshidach.
Meanwhile, Senator Alexei Pushkov said on Twitter that Warsaw has no choice but to console itself with resistance to the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
According to Pushkov, Warsaw was defeated in the fight against the pipeline.
“Warsaw boasts that it delayed Nord Stream 2 for several years. However, there is nothing to boast about: in the end, Warsaw did not achieve its goal. But the score is important. And the score is not in favor of Poland, "Pushkov said.
Earlier, Warsaw criticized the agreement on the "Nord Stream-2", concluded between Germany and the United States. According to him, both sides agreed to impose sanctions if Russia tries to use energy exports in order to put pressure on Ukraine.
