OREANDA-NEWS. Russia stands for coordinated actions to stabilize the situation in the global oil market. This position, according to the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, will be presented at the OPEC+ talks on Thursday.

"Our position is clear: Russia stands for joint coordinated actions in the interests of stabilizing the global energy market", a Kremlin spokesman told reporters. He didn't name specific parameters, since they were heard at a meeting with the head of state Vladimir Putin last week. "All other nuances will already be discussed in the course of the working process at the teleconference, let's wait for it", Peskov noted.

He recalled that last week Putin held a meeting with the leadership of relevant departments and heads of oil companies. OPEC+ ministerial talks will take place on Thursday in webinar format. Thus, negotiations on the oil market will resume after a failed meeting in Vienna in early March.
