OREANDA-NEWS. The national company Naftogaz of Ukraine hopes to sign agreements with Russian Gazprom on December 27, but if this does not happen, its representatives are ready to work on the days off work. This was stated by Naftogaz executive director Yuriy Vitrenko.

“On December 26, the Naftogaz and Gazprom teams will meet to finalize the terms of the agreements. Each party has its own draft agreements, but only one needs to be signed. Actually, on December 26 we will work on a common option,” Vitrenko wrote on Facebook.

He added that the Ukrainian company will act in accordance with national interests. “We hope that we will be able to agree on the terms of the agreements and complete this process on Friday, December 27. But if there is such a need, work will continue on the days off work in order to ensure a transit contract for Ukraine and not do a bad turn to our European partners,” the top manager noted.
