OREANDA-NEWS. Naftogaz Ukrainy responded to Gazprom’s proposals to resolve the gas dispute, wrote Yury Vitrenko, executive director of the Ukrainian company, on his Facebook page. According to him, the response to the request of Gazprom, sent to Kiev by fax, was also sent by fax and via DHL.

On November 18, it was reported that Gazprom called one of the conditions for the extension of the current agreement on the transit of Russian through Ukraine the refusal of both parties to mutual claims in international arbitration and the termination of all litigation. According to Vitrenko, Naftogaz is ready to “constructively consider”, Gazprom’s proposals to implement the decisions of the Stockholm arbitration and conclude a settlement agreement.

“Today, according to the final and binding decisions of the Stockholm arbitration, which is defined in our contract with Gazprom as a dispute resolution mechanism, Gazprom must pay Naftogaz approximately $ 3 billion. We are satisfied with the money, but if Gazprom wants to pay this debt with gas supplies, we are ready to consider such an offer”, Vitrenko explained.
