OREANDA-NEWS. The largest Polish oil refining company, Orlen, has sent complaints to Russian supply companies regarding contaminated oil. This was reported on Wednesday by Reuters, citing sources. "PKN Orlen sent a request to the Russian side, demanding compensation for contaminated oil", the source said.

In October, Orlen announced that it had received from Russian companies part of the compensation for oil that was not delivered to it through the Druzhba pipeline. Then the company indicated that they intend to demand compensation from the Russian side for the supply of low-quality oil.

In mid-April, the Belarusian concern Belneftekhim announced a sharp deterioration in the quality of oil coming from Russia via Druzhba. As a result, a number of countries stopped accepting and refining Russian oil. Poland stopped the download on April 24th. Oil didn’t enter the republic through the Friendship for 46 days.

Poland is not the only one who hopes to receive compensation. So, Minsk expects that the amount of compensation due to an incident related to the supply of contaminated Russian oil will amount to about $ 70 million.
