OREANDA-NEWS. As the KazTransOil company informs, Kazakhstan has resumed oil transit through Russia, oil pumping in the Atyrau-Samara section of the Uzen-Atyrau-Samara main oil pipeline has been fully restored.

The management of the company emphasized that oil is supplied through the KazTransOil pipelines "in the specified technological modes."

Interruptions in the supply of electricity led to a temporary suspension of oil transit at the Atyrau-Samara section, but the company did not impose restrictions on the receipt of oil from shippers.

Electricity supply problems reportedly stemmed from severe frosts in two regions in western Kazakhstan, including an oil pumping station that supplies oil to Transneft's pipelines. As reported in "Transneft", bad weather in Russia - storms, frosts - interfered with the shipment of oil for export. Company representatives said that there were 47 restrictions on oil delivery to the system in the first days of January due to abnormally low temperatures in Siberian fields.

KazTransOil is the national operator of trunk oil pipelines in Kazakhstan, part of KazMunayGas, and owns a network of oil pipelines with a length of 5.4 thousand kilometers.

The "Uzen-Atyrau-Samara" oil pipeline with a length of 1235.7 km (across the lands of Kazakhstan) is laid through the Mangistau, Atyrau and West Kazakhstan regions.
