OREANDA-NEWS. Five Russian oil companies will supply oil to Belarus in March at a market price without a premium, in addition to the companies of the Safmar group of Mikhail Gutseriev. This was reported on Wednesday at the Belneftekhim concern.
"Five new players with whom we will work until the end of the first quarter. They are not included in the list of our traditional suppliers. This is in addition to the Safmar group of companies. Deliveries will be made at the market price without a premium", the concern said.
Belneftekhim recalled that earlier oil was supplied to Belarus by Rosneft, Tatneft, Gazpromneft, Lukoil and Surgutneftegaz. At the same time, the concern did not specify whether these companies are on the list of new suppliers. Deliveries of Russian oil to Belarusian refineries were stopped on January 1, as Moscow and Minsk did not conclude an agreement on the terms of supply for this year. Deliveries were later partially resumed by Safmar Group companies.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko instructed the government to work out alternative supply options. The authorities of the republic reported that they had sent proposals to the Baltic countries, Poland, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. The first batch of Norwegian oil was delivered to Naftan OJSC on January 26, and it was delivered to the port of Klaipeda by the Norwegian tanker Breiviken.
