OREANDA-NEWS Since the beginning of 2024, energy consumption in the Russian Federation has been growing by 3.8% compared to the same period last year, said Fedor Opadchy, chairman of the board of the "System Operator".
In particular, the growth in the Far East is 5.1%, he noted.
In the materials of the scheme and program for the development of electric power systems until 2030, the "System Operator" estimated energy consumption in the unified energy system of the Russian Federation at 1.16 trillion kWh by the end of 2024.
In 2023, consumption in the unified energy system was approximately 1.12 trillion kWh. Thus, we are talking about a possible increase in the indicator by 3.3% by the end of 2024.
