OREANDA-NEWS. Terms of start of "Nord Stream-2" can break because of a position of Denmark which drags out process of coordination of the project. According to the head of the Austrian OMV Rainer Seele, the delay of commissioning of the project of Nord Stream 2 AG can become a reality.

The Nord Stream — 2 project assumes construction of two strings of the pipeline with a general power of 55 billion cubic meters of gas a year from the coast of Russia through the Baltic Sea to Germany.

It got approval on laying in territorial waters of Finland, Sweden, Germany and Russia for a long time. According to the last messages, in the Baltic Sea about 1450 km "Nord Stream — 2" — over 59% of pipeline extent are laid.

On June 19 in Denmark responded to charges of a delay of construction of the pipeline. Copenhagen explained that will make the decision proceeding from environmental issues and safety. In particular, the authorities give preference to a southeast route.

At the same time the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak noted that Russia does not see obstacles for delivery by Denmark of permission to implementation of the project.
