Belarus Resumed Export of Oil Products
OREANDA-NEWS. The suspension of oil products’ export from Belarus, introduced earlier due to the temporary stoppage of supplies from Russia, has been canceled.
This was reported by the head of Belneftekhim Andrey Rybakov. “It was a short period of suspension. […] Although we have not yet reached the export volumes that were prescribed in the business plan. But export itself is not banned,” top manager explained. Rybakov noted that “the nearest markets are the most efficient. Further sale – through ports… will be grounded on the market conditions… and generally on the world market prices for oil products. But the most efficient markets are the national and the nearest ones. We will focus on them first of all,” he concluded.
Belarus suspended the export of oil products from January 1 due to the cessation of Russian oil supplies to refineries in Mozyr and Novopolotsk amid disputes between Minsk and Moscow. On January 4, pumping of Russian oil to Belarusian refineries resumed.
