OREANDA-NEWS. The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) of Belarus approved an increase in tariffs for oil transportation through the country from September 1, 2019 by 3.7%. The corresponding decree of MART was officially published on Thursday on the national legal portal.
As Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak previously reported, Russia and Belarus agreed to increase the tariff for pumping oil through the territory of Belarus by 3.7% from September 1 to the end of the year; on January 1, 2020 it will also be indexed according to the rules existing between the two countries. "In order to partially compensate for the lost revenue of Gomeltransneft Druzhba OJSC, the MART resolution provides for an increase in oil transportation tariffs by 3.7% from September 1", the department said.
They noted that "a decrease in oil transportation in the II quarter of 2019 due to the refusal of its acceptance by oil refineries in Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic and Hungary due to an increase in the concentration of organic chlorides in Russian oil led to a reduction in the forecasted revenue of Gomeltransneft Druzhba OJSC for 2019, which may lead to failure to fulfill the necessary measures under the investment program aimed at ensuring environmental safety and reliability of the transport system of Gomeltransneft Druzhba OJSC but".
Earlier it was reported that Russia and Belarus during the meeting on the unscheduled review of tariffs for oil transportation services via the Gomeltransneft Druzhba trunk pipeline located in Belarus reached an agreement to increase the pumping tariff by 3.7%, the FAS deputy head told the Russian media Anatoly Golomolzin. “An agreement was reached on changing the tariff for oil transportation through the Belarusian territory by 3.7%”, he said.
