OREANDA-NEWS. Russian oil, which corresponds to quality indicators, has not yet arrived in Belarus through the Druzhba pipeline. This was reported on Monday in the concern "Belneftekhim".
“At present, oil is still in the pipeline on the Belarusian territory in excess of the standard content of organochlorine. Pumping of pure oil through Druzhba has not begun,” the concern noted. The ministry clarified that the specialists of Gomeltransneft Druzhba and Polotsktransneft Druzhba took all "technical measures to get the cleanest oil from the Russian Unecha tempering station as soon as possible." Belarusian oil refineries still operate at a reduced load, informed Belneftekhim. The ministry also stated that "the concern and organizations keep daily records of lost income due to the reduction in refinery utilization, the suspension of exports of petroleum products, equipment repair and other measures taken due to the supply of poor-quality oil."
They also reported that negotiations on the supply of oil to Belarus and its transit via the Druzhba pipeline continued on Monday in Moscow. "Work on resolving the situation with the supply of poor-quality Russian oil through the Druzhba trunk pipeline continues. Today, the delegation of the Belneftekhim concern, headed by the deputy chairman of the concern Vladimir Sizov, is in Moscow, where negotiations with Russian oil companies will continue at the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation" - clarified in the Belarusian concern.
According to the press-secretary of Belneftkhim, Marina Kostyuchenko, the Belarusian side has not yet calculated the full damage from the entry of poor-quality Russian oil into the republic, but the issue of compensation is not removed. “As for the damage, it’s premature to talk about final soums, because the situation hasn’t been resolved yet,” she said. “But the issue of compensation is not removed, the Belarusian side will demand compensation for costs for economic entities and for the state.”
