As a Result of Shelling of Ukrainian Security Forces, a Gas Pipeline on the Outskirts of Donetsk is Damaged
OREANDA-NEWS. Ukrainian security forces fired at the outskirts of Donetsk, as a result of which the gas pipeline was damaged. A representative of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic told reporters on Thursday at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire.
A spokesman for the ministry said that "today at 08:05 (the same time as Moscow time), the armed formations of Ukraine fired LNG at the village of the Trudovskaya mine on the western outskirts of Donetsk. As a result, the low-pressure gas pipeline was damaged."
He noted that at the moment the fire has been liquidated, an emergency gas service has been called to eliminate the damage.
Earlier today it was reported that part of another village on the western outskirts of Donetsk - the village of Staromikhaylovka - was de-energized as a result of shelling from the Ukrainian security forces. A thousand subscribers were left without electricity, as the press service of the Ministry of Coal and Energy of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic announced on Thursday.
The press service of the DPR mincoal says that "the inhabitants of about half of the settlement were left without electricity this night, just during the massive shelling from the Ukrainian positions."
