OREANDA-NEWS. In Petrosavodsk on Studenchesky boulevard at the "Molecule" sculpture there will be an ecological master-class on landscape arrangement creation from coniferous trees and bushes with the use of decorative gravel and stones. This event will be held as part of the All-Russia Energy Saving Festival, Together Brightly (#ВместеЯрче).
This year the second wave of greenery planting in the centre of Karelia's capital by the energy workers of PJSC TGC-1 is organised under the auspices of "Walking the Path of Kindness", a career guidance tour across the Northwest for orphanage graduates.
"This spring we have planted an avenue of 4-5 metres tall, large-sized maples in the historical centre of Petrozavodsk, at the Kirov Square. This Sunday we are about to continue these ecological traditions and create a landscape arrangement from thuja, juniper, pine and barberry trees. As before, the planting material has been provided by the energy workers of PJSC TGC-1 within the charity program. We invite everyone to join us!" says Svetlana Krasnoschekova, Head of Charity and Sponsorship Projects of PJSC TGC-1.
In Karelia the career guidance tour participants will visit three power facilities: Khyamekoski HPP, the oldest hydro power plant in Russia using the original equipment produced in 1903; Pitkyakoski HPP and Ignoyla HPP. energy workers will conduct specialised master-classes for the participants during which they will reveal the secrets of their profession, explain how energy is generated and tell about their work and life.
But most importantly, kind deeds are waiting for the participants: they will visit orphans in Lakhdenpokhya and Sortavala and give them presents. Tour participants will pass more than 1200 km around Lake Ladoga under the aegis "Walking the Path of Kindness".
