OREANDA-NEWS. In all branches of IDGC of Centre a single safety day was held. This event is aimed at prevention of workplace injuries, increase of workplace safety culture and preservation of health of the company’s employees.

During the single safety day specially created commissions checked the compliance with rules and norms of labour protection and safety, in the workplace of personnel, identified violations that can lead to traumatic situations, threat to life and health. The organization of safe work in the existing electrical installations, timely briefings on occupational safety, fire safety was also verified.

According to Head of Occupational Safety of IDGC of Centre Elena Kalinina, staff carrying out operation of electrical equipment of IDGC of Centre must always be aware of the fact that their work is associated with an increased risk for life. Any negligence, carelessness, disregard the rules of labour protection and safety measures can lead to tragedy.

In order to minimize the likelihood of such cases, a lot of work is carried out at IDGC of Centre. It is staff training in safe methods of work and production of safe operation of equipment, provision of employees with modern personal protective equipment and devices, creation of optimal conditions of work and rest of workers. The branches of IDGC of Centre organize the work to test knowledge of staff on safety requirements, safe operation of the equipment, fire and industrial safety.
