Robert Pietryszyn, President of the Management Board of Grupa LOTOS S.A., was appointed to the Board of Directors of CEEP
OREANDA-NEWS. Robert Pietryszyn, President of the Management Board of Grupa LOTOS S.A., was appointed to the Board of Directors of Central Europe Energy Partners (CEEP).
CEEP is the only energy sector’s organisation from Central Europe headquartered in Brussels, where it plays a major role in initiating legislation and providing opinions on proposed EU directives. CEEP’s objective is to support integration of the Central European energy sector under the EU’s common policy framework for the energy sector and energy security. It carries out detailed research work and acts as an advocate for its members.
Currently, the organisation comprises energy sector companies from the Czech Republic, Romania, Croatia, Lithuania, and Poland, including: KGHM, Litgrid, Achema, Grupa Azoty, ArcelorMittal Poland, HEP, NWR, PSE, and PERN.
The General Meeting of CEEP appointed a new Board of Directors which, besides Robert Pietryszyn, consists of Henryk Baranowski, President of the Management Board of PGE (to be approved by the Supervisory Board of PGE), Eryk Kłossowski, President of the Management Board of PSE, and Rafał Miland, Vice-President of the Management Board of PERN S.A.
Pursuant to CEEP’s Articles of Association, the Board of Directors appoints the Chairperson from among its members. The Chairperson is expected to be appointed in August.
