OREANDA-NEWS. The European Commission is seeking your views on gas and electricity network codes and guidelines for 2017 and beyond.

The public consultation, which closes on 14 October 2016, would like to gather the opinions of stakeholders in the electricity and gas sectors on the priorities for the development of network codes and guidelines from 2017 onwards.

In the past, grid operation and trading rules were drawn-up nationally. Today, EU countries are increasingly interconnected and so EU-wide rules have become necessary to manage transnational electricity and gas flows.
