Hess Recognized in Newsweek Green Rankings
OREANDA-NEWS. Hess Corporation (NYSE:HES) today announced it has received one of the highest rankings among energy producers in the 2016 Newsweek Green Rankings U.S. 500 – one of the world’s most recognized assessments of corporate environmental performance. The rankings reflect the sustainability and environmental impact of the 500 largest publicly traded companies in the United States by market capitalization.
“We are committed to helping meet the world’s demand for energy in an environmentally responsible way and proud to be recognized for our environmental performance,” said Alex Sagebien, Vice President, Environment, Health and Safety, Hess Corporation.
Based on research from Corporate Knights Capital, along with a “Green Revenue” score from HIP (Human Impact + Profit) Investor Inc., the 2016 ranking features eight indicators that are used to assess and measure environmental performance. The full 2016 list of the Top Green Companies in the U.S. and a detailed description of the methodology are available at http://www.newsweek.com/green-2016/top-green-companies-us-2016.
