Power engineers of IDGC of Centre read a book about the war
The idea to make a full movie for the Victory Day based on a war story was responded by staff of IDGC of Centre. Many expressed their willingness to participate in the project. The choice almost immediately fell to the proposed by power engineers of "Smolenskenergo" poem "Vasili Tyorkin" - a work that reflects the fate of thousands of Soviet soldiers who defended their Motherland during the Great Patriotic War, praising their courage and heroism, all the power of hatred to fascism and, of course, worldly wit and sense of humour, remaining with them even in the most difficult hours of tests.
The power engineers took a serious approach to all stages of the project - from writing scripts and selection of costumes and props to final rehearsals and filming. Each of the branches of IDGC of Centre in the project tried to bring some sort of its own distinction.
"Our part of the film we shot at a military training ground of the settlement of Tregulyay in the Tambov region," said an engineer of relay protection and emergency control of "Tambovenergo" Ilya Astafyev. "There are real military fortifications, which are used during exercises. The cold weather in early spring only added naturalism of the happening - for example, we had to work hard to make a fire, necessary for the image in the frame. During the filming we worked our hardest, I hope that colleagues will enjoy the results of our work."
And shooting in the Voronezh branch of IDGC of Centre was no less interesting. It was held in the regional museum, in the dug-exhibit during the war. In the same personally dug underground structures under a boarding of logs, Red Army soldiers whiled away the frontline everyday life - basking in the cold, sleeping, eating, waited artillery attack, wrote letters to relatives.
In "Lipetskenergo", a "hero" of the movie was a legendary "lorry" GAZ-AA from a private collection - a fighting truck, which drove all the roads of the Great Patriotic War. Employees of "Bryanskenergo" chose as a film set the memorial complex "Partizanskaya Polyana", which served as a perfect entourage for the chapter "Accordion". The chapters of the poem "Vasili Tyorkin" were read and filmed in the Museum of the Great Patriotic War, on theatrical stages and even in the old peasant hut.
According to Head of Public Relations Department of IDGC of Centre Evgeniya Fisenko: "This project has brought together all employees of IDGC of Centre, become for each of us something personal, intimate. In the film we see not all who planned and implemented it: many of our colleagues, involved at different stages in its creation, are behind the scenes. We express our sincere gratitude to all who supported our initiative, who are with us mourning the fallen on the battlefield, bowing their head to the feat of the generation of victors. By participating in the project, we pay tribute to the relatives and friends, who defended our Motherland during the war. And remembering today those who gave us life, we must do everything to make the younger generation aware of the deeds of the people who saved the country from fascism."
