OREANDA-NEWS. TATNEFT Company became the winner of the republican contest "Energopartner(Energy Partner)-2016" in the category "Large industrial enterprises."

TATNEFT is the largest consumer of electricity in the south-eastern part of Tatarstan. Two-thirds of the total consumption in Almetyevsk branch of PJSC "Tatenergosbyt" (about 4 billion KWh) are accounted for by the oilmen. The Company consistently works to optimize the consumption volumes and energy consumption costs.

The automated system for commercial measurement of power consumption ASKUE DISC – 110 was introduced at the end of 2005 for the calculation of electricity, which covers about three thousand meters, including more than a thousand commercial ones, which power consumption is on-line controlled both by TATNEFT itself and by PAO "Tatenergosbyt" and the Network company. This instrument allowed TATNEFT to be the first in Tatarstan and one of the first companies in Russia to get a chance of selecting  optimal methods of settlement for electricity. The Company operates under the complex in terms of calculations, but the most cost-effective sixth price category - by the method of hourly electricity planning for the day ahead. Thus the deviation of the actual hourly energy consumption from the planned minimum is within one percent.

In addition, in order to reduce the costs experts of the Company carry out the adjustment measures and manage the power consumption mode, focusing on the fact that at night of working days as well as on weekends and holidays, the electricity price lower by 30% and 12%, respectively, while the payment for the power is excluded. The choice of sttlement options for electricity and the implementation of adjustment measures make it possible to optimize the power purchase cost by PJSC TATNEFT by an average of 10%.

It should be mentioned here that for organizing the centralized purchase of electricity for companies the TATNEFT Group of Companies and further optimization of costs the Company had established a subsidiary OOO "Tatneft-Energosbyt".

Also, TATNEFT is actively involved in optimizing electricity consumption and specific electricity consumption for crude oil production. The programmed energy saving  activities of previous years had been successfully implemented. The effectiveness of the integrated program for resource conservation till 2020 was recognized at the All-Russian contest ENES-2016, where the Company’s program won first prize.

The "Energopartner" contest is held on the application free basis. To be a winner or a runner-up the entity needs meeting stringent criteria, including such main ones as the payment discipline and compliance with all contractual obligations.
