OREANDA-NEWS. On December 27, a fire blazed up on 1000-mm major gas pipeline between Gas Processing Plant and Sangachal units in Garadagh region of Baku. The gas was changed to alternative pipeline while firefighters were localizing the fire. Necessary measures were taken for extinguishing the fire and eliminating gas supply problems.

As a result of joint measures by SOCAR, Ministry of Emergency and "Azerenerji", the fire was extinguished. Repair work has already started on the pipeline. The Absheron region’s gas supply was restored via alternative pipeline. No casualties were reported.
