OREANDA-NEWS. Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Wang Yilin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CNPC, today signed in Moscow a Supplementary Agreement to the Sales and Purchase Agreement for Russian gas to be supplied via the eastern route, which had been inked by the parties on May 21, 2014.

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, and Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China.

According to the Supplementary Agreement, gas supplies to China via the Power of Siberia gas pipeline will commence in December 2019.
