OREANDA-NEWS. As part of their working visit to Astrakhan region, Nikolay Patrushev, Secretary of the Russian Federation Security Council, Vladimir Ustinov, RF President’s Special Representative in the Southern Federal District, Aleksandr Zhilkin, Governor of Astrakhan Region, and Vagit Alekperov, President of LUKOIL, inspected an offshore ice-resistant fixed platform at the Yuri Korchagin Field in the Caspian Sea.

Special emphasis was put on the efficiency of the platform’s systems for industrial, environmental protection and continuous monitoring of the water area. The advanced technologies used on the platform enable to exercise multilevel control over the platform operation and ensure reliable protection from emergencies.
