OREANDA-NEWS. IDGC of Centre – Belgorodenergo division starts reconstruction of the high-voltage substation 110/10 kV "Sheino", located in Korochansky district of the Belgorod region. The volume of investments will be about 263 million rubles, including VAT.

The 110/10 kV substation "Sheino" was constructed in 1974, during the period of mass electrification of the region. Today, it provides reliable electricity for over 4 thousand consumers in Korochansky district: 13 settlements, a chalk processing plant, boiler houses, schools, water intake wells, agricultural and industrial enterprises, including new dairy farms of a large regional agricultural holding Green Valley Group of Companies specializing in production and processing of dairy products.

The project envisages an increase in capacity and a comprehensive upgrade of all electric grid equipment. Two power transformers with a total capacity of 20 MW will be installed at the feeding centre, a new substation control room will be constructed, outdoor switchgear with modern 110 kV gas-insulated circuit breakers, disconnectors and electric drives in polymeric support-rod insulation will be installed.

The facility is also planned to be equipped with reliable and modern remote control and communication facilities integrated into the operational information complex of Belgorodenergo, the AMR system, and microprocessor relay protection units that can monitor the performance of the entire feeding centre in real time and react instantly to emergencies.

The project does not provide for the presence of permanent staff at the site. Monitoring of the equipment operation and its control in real time will be provided by an automated substation control system.

Please, be reminded that last year in the villages of Sheino and Mazikino in Korochansky district the first stage of grid connection of two large dairy farms was completed, designed to contain 1,980 forage cows and planned consumption of 1.2 MW each. Upon the completion of the reconstruction of the substation "Sheino", the power supply of agricultural facilities will be provided according to the first category of reliability.
