OREANDA-NEWS. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on his Twitter page announced the creation of a coalition against Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“We are creating an anti-Putin coalition. I talked about specific sanctions and specific assistance for our military with [European Commission President] Ursula von der Leyen, [French President] Emmanuel Macron, [Austrian Chancellor] Karl Nehammer and [Turkish President] Recep Tayyip Erdogan. We are waiting for decisive action,” the President of Ukraine said.

Earlier, he called on world leaders to create such a coalition.

“We urge you to immediately stop Putin, the war against Ukraine and the whole world! Create an anti-Putin coalition. Introduce immediate sanctions, provide protection and financial support to Ukraine! Close the airspace! The world must force Russia to peace,” the Ukrainian leader wrote.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a military special operation to protect Donbass in response to a request for help from the heads of the LPR and DPR.

Ukraine severed diplomatic relations with Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has submitted a bill on general mobilization to the Verkhovna Rada.
