The administration of TikTok is outraged by the executive order of US President Donald Trump, who set 45 days to terminate transactions with the owner of the Chinese application ByteDance in the American jurisdiction. Earlier, he stated that the application would be blocked unless an American company buys the application. Trump’s decrees state that TikTok, as well as another Chinese app, WeChat, threaten the security, foreign policy and economy of the United States.

“We are shocked by the recent presidential decree, which was issued without following due process. During the year, we tried to establish interaction with the US government in order to find a constructive solution to the concerns that were expressed,” the commentary of ByteDance says. The company added that it will use every remedy available to it to ensure the rule of law and justice, in particular, appealing to the American courts.
