The Prosecutor General's Office of Kazakhstan Opened a Website for Collecting Photos and Videos of the Riots

OREANDA-NEWS. The Prosecutor General's Office of Kazakhstan, together with the Ministry of Digital Development, has created a website stopterrorism.kz, where users are invited to upload photo and video materials on the riots that have taken place in the country, the agency's press service said.
“On this site, citizens can anonymously upload videos, photos and audio recordings of terrorist acts and riots that have occurred this year. At present, prosecutors are collecting and fixing evidence, as well as identifying criminals from video recordings,» the statement said.
The ministry also thanked the people of Kazakhstan for providing information to call-center 115.
Earlier, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that as a result of the riots, about 1,300 business facilities were damaged, more than 100 shopping centers and banks were attacked, and about 500 police cars were burned. The press service of the head of state clarified that the economic damage from the unrest in Kazakhstan could amount to $2-3 billion.
As of January 9, looters have plundered more than 100 large trade facilities and banks. The preliminary damage is more than 87 billion tenge (about $200 million), said acting. Minister of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerlan Turgumbaev.
