OREANDA-NEWS. Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin said that Elon Musk's SpaceX Starlink satellites could be used for military purposes in the future, including for controlling cruise missiles, special forces and an agent network. He announced this on the air of Channel One. According to him, the satellites will be able to distribute the Internet with «purely political and, most likely, anti-Russian content».

«Everyone says it's amazing, it's a private investor. Listen, don't tell fairy tales! This year they received about $900 million, the entire subsidy — $20 billion — for the coming period. Such spacecraft are distributed by the Internet, they are able to become the only shoulder for controlling cruise missiles, their «flashing» of the flight task already in flight», Rogozin said.

The head of Roscosmos is convinced that the Internet distributed by satellites will include political content and, «most likely, anti-Russian», in order to eliminate Moscow's ability to protect it's own network. He recalled that a total of 1.8 thousand Starlink spacecraft were launched.

«Of course, we will not stand still either. We have the «Sphere» program, this year we presented it to the president and we will withdraw hundreds of our devices to ensure the protection of our own sovereignty in this information environment», Rogozin concluded.
