Telegram Allowed to Transfer Correspondence from What’s Up
OREANDA-NEWS. The Telegram messenger has released an iOS 7.4 update allowing users to transfer their chat history from other messengers, including WhatsApp. The update became available on January 27th.
Now iOS users have the opportunity to transfer their correspondence history from other messengers to Telegram - WhatsApp, Line and KakaoTalk. In addition to deleting messages in chats, users will be able to delete the groups they have created for all participants, secret chats from the chat list and call history.
Telegram users will also be able to adjust the volume level in voice chats for individual participants, and active voice chats will be grouped at the top of the call tab.
In addition, Telegram for iOS users will now be able to send a complaint about groups or channels posing as officials, organizations or their representatives.
Since the beginning of January, the WhatsApp messenger has lost more than 30 million users. As reported by the newspaper The Guardian, this is due to the fact that users have negatively assessed the updated terms of use for the application, according to which it will begin to share information with the social network Facebook, which owns the messenger. As a result of the actions of the owners of WhatsApp, users began to switch to messengers such as Signal and Telegram. After that, WhatsApp announced the postponement of the introduction of the new agreement, which was postponed to May 15.
