OREANDA-NEWS. The head of Kaspersky Lab Eugene Kaspersky does not recommend using the Zoom service for business negotiations due to security problems. He said this in an interview with a Russian media correspondent.

"There were serious security notes for Zoom at first. We did a little research: yes, the guys made a good, convenient software, but a couple of weeks ago, sorting through the numbers, one could easily get to meetings that were not password protected, and the password was not set by default", he said. Kaspersky noted that for business negotiations on video communications there is a Microsoft Teams application or WhatsApp messenger. “Than Zoom? Of course. 100%”, he said, answering the question whether the messenger is better protected than Zoom.

The popularity of Zoom has grown significantly in light of the spread of the new coronavirus and the transition of many people to remote work. At the same time, the service has been criticized more than once for the fact that its developers don't take appropriate measures to ensure the safety of users' personal data.
