OREANDA-NEWS. The largest hacker attack in the history of Crimea was carried out on the republic, but the attackers were unable to disrupt the operation of information systems. On March 4, the general director of the Krymtekhnologii enterprise, Alexander Uzbek, told reporters about this.
According to him, the cyberattacks began on the night of March 4 against the backdrop of Russia's special operation to protect Donbass.
“The power of the attack was 14 million packets per second,” the specialist specified.
At the same time, two types of attacks were carried out from IP addresses, mainly located in North and South America, Taiwan and a number of other countries. They were sent to disable telecommunications equipment and web resources.
“At the moment, the attackers have not been able to disrupt the work of the state information systems of the authorities and the portal of the Republic of Crimea,” Uzbek concluded.
On March 3, the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry was subjected to unprecedented cyber attacks. On March 2, the head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, said that the security system of the state corporation automatically repelled hacker attacks on the Mission Control Center and the space group. He warned that taking out satellites was a crime.
On February 28, the websites of Izvestia, TASS, Kommersant, Forbes, Fontanka, Mel, E1, Pravo.ru, Lenta.ru, Buro 24/7, RBC, Znak.Com and others were hacked Russian media.
