OREANDA-NEWS. Lattelecom, the leading internet and television provider in Latvia has created a new entertainment platform – Shortcut ( www.shortcut.lv ), which offers a unique collection of serial, film and TV channel content, as well as exclusive broadcasts of major events in Latvia and worldwide.
Juris Gulbis, Chairman Management Board of Lattelecom, says: "In our time, we worked out and implemented ambitious plans – to give Latvia the fastest internet and the widest Wi-Fi network. The creation of Shortcut is the logical next step in Lattelecom's development for we are convinced that our television, just like fast internet and Wi-Fi, must be accessible everywhere. It must be enjoyed easily and comfortably."
Shortcut users will have an opportunity to watch the best serials, films, cartoons, exclusive live broadcasts and 50 of the best television channels in the world throughout Latvia, regardless of the type of internet connection. The platform will offer the latest films, recently having been shown in cinemas. Shortcut TV channels will be available in their original languages and Shortcut Films and Premiere films and serials will be available in their original languages as well as with Latvian and Russian translations. The entire content of children’s’ programming will be dubbed into Latvian.
Kerli Gabrilovica, the Director of Lattelecom’s Corporate Development Department: "Lattelecom will always be in tune with the latest developments and the newest trends in the technology world in order to be one step ahead of its competitors. Shortcut is a product that people in the USA can only dream about. It stands out with its wide range of gadget support, as well as its excellent content. Shortcut is already available on the most popular devices – smartphones, tablets, computers, iOS, Android, Apple TV and soon on the Smart TV application, Android TV, Chromecast, play stations – and, if a demand develops to watch this entertainment content on your refrigerator, we will be able to provide that as well."
The Director of the Positivus festival Girts Majors: "Thanks to Lattelecom, two years ago, Positivus became the first festival in Europe with its own pop-up TV channel. This year, with the exclusive 360TV Positivus on the Shortcut platform we will go even further. From the 15th to the 17th of July, the channel will broadcast more than 20 hours of content from Salacgriva. After the festival, until the 24th of July you will be able to watch concerts, up to 300 various interviews and other material from the festival on 360TV Positivus. This Positivus is special for us, it’s our tenth anniversary, therefore, in addition to the traditional concert streams and interviews with the artists and the audience presented by the inimitable showman Andris Freidenfelds, we will also take a look back into the history of the festival and the previous nine years in a new exciting format."
