Tele2 and SAP have signed an agreement on strategic partnership
OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, an alternative operator, and SAP, a leader in enterprise applications SAP CIS, have signed an agreement on strategic partnership at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Cooperation between the two companies implies introduction of a special procurement management system Ariba at Tele2.
The document has been signed by Tele2 CEO Sergey Emdin and SAP CIS CEO Pavel Gontarev. Thanks to SAP Ariba the operator is planning to computerize its procurement procedures and optimize business processes.
The reason for choosing SAP Ariba is an opportunity to implement entire procurement cycle from an emerging request up to the need to process first documents and arrange payments. Thanks to SAP the operator will be able to computerize the planning and implementation of all procurement procedures. The system will support online applications filed by suppliers, speed up evaluation of their proposals, approval and choice of a final contractor. This procedure will be fully integrated with SAP ERP earlier launched at Tele2 and suppliers’ accountant systems via AribaNetwork.
Besides, Ariba will help Tele2 support the entire process for finalizing agreements, including their vault, library of templates, approval of documents by vendors as well as processing the final agreement based on the winner’s proposal.
