Coloud launches three wallet-friendly headphones under $40
The No. 16 model is built extra-tough and is designed to go anywhere. They pack up easily with built-in hinges that snap into place when you're ready to jam, and the flexible cushion around the headband ensures a proper fit. Of course, the flat tangle-free remote also has a remote control for track navigation and volume control, as well as a microphone for making calls.
The No. 8 headphones are also meant to sit on top of your ears, but Coloud built them extra-light at just 155 grams (5.47 oz) to keep them comfortable for as long as you're wearing them. With an impedance of 32 ohms, the 40mm dynamic driver is, according to the company, well suited for any genre in everyday listening.
Finally, the No. 4 could be the answer you're looking for if you can't stand taking a tangled-up mess of earbuds out of your pocket. The flat cable keeps them from encircling, while the company's own "ZoundLasso" system features holes on the rubber housing around the 3.5mm plug that let you contain the cord after you wrap it up. Also, the earbuds have magnets on the end that clip together for safekeeping around your neck.
The Coloud No. 16, No. 8 and No. 4 headphones are priced at \\$39.95, \\$29.95 and \\$19.95 respectively. There's no word yet on international pricing or availability, but that currently converts to about ?30, ?20 and ?15 or AU\\$55, AU\\$40 or AU\\$30.
We'll be sure to get all three headphone models into the office for a roundup of in-depth reviews.
