AT&T's prepaid GoPhone plans suddenly got a little better
The company said late Tuesday that it is giving new and existing customers on two of its prepaid GoPhone plans an additional gigabyte of data. Customers on the \\$45 plan now have 3GB, while the \\$60 plan gets you 6GB.
The extra data comes as prepaid services, which require you to pay upfront each month but don't require credit checks, step up their game to entice data-hungry consumers.
The competitive field includes T-Mobile's MetroPCS, Sprint's Boost and Virgin Mobile, and AT&T's own Cricket brand.
