That said, these two apps still outshone other messaging apps such as Viber, Line, WeChat or Telegram, though Viber is the only one of the four to claim more than ten countries. Interestingly, apps like KakaoTalk are really only popular in South Korea while BBM is the dominant messaging app in Indonesia.
Impressively, BBM is installed on 87.5 percent of Android devices in the country, and this is far ahead of countries such as the US, with only 0.42 percent of Android users installing the BBM app. The UK and Australia are only slightly ahead.
