OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, has completed a project on launching SAP BPC budgeting system. Tele2 is one of the first Russian companies to have launched a software base on HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC). Thanks to the project, over 1200 users may simultaneously work in the system whereas a full calculation of budget model takes less than 30 minutes.

A key target of the project is to increase a speed for decision-making based on SAP BPC data, which is essential for successfully making business on a rapidly growing telecom market. The integrated solution has cut the time of operations three-fold.

As a part of the project, the company was seeking to increase sustainability and accessibility of the system during peak loads of budget planning and optimize the system capacity. Besides, the operator had to provide an opportunity of simultaneous work for many users processing big data and maintain operating speed of the system.

Thanks to the project, the company managed to provide failure safety and an opportunity for simultaneous work of over 1200 users. Software solution allows online accessing budget, forward looking, actual data presented in various reports, and applying samples set up by the users.

The system’s budget model has over 150 samples for yearly planning and five-year business plan as well as 100 analytical and presentation report samples. Besides, the solution has over 1000 calculation algorithms for budget entries. Methodology for drafting budget model includes a comprehensive system of planning KPIs and their control. Besides, the budgeting system allows preparing consolidated reporting in various currencies.

UNITERA specialists were in charge of integrating the budgeting system at Tele2. The project took 18 months.
