OREANDA-NEWS Russia has begun mass production of universal target training complexes "Adjutant" for testing anti-aircraft missile systems (SAMs) using flying targets. This was announced by Fanil Ziyatdinov, General Director of the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant (IEMZ) Kupol, in an interview with the National Defense magazine.
"A number of other defense products have been developed. Among them is the universal target training complex "Adjutant". It has already gone into production, the first state contract has been executed, and we are working on the second one. We began to create an "adjutant" for conducting overflights of our air defense systems. But it soon became clear that the scope of application is much wider. The complex has already managed to take part in the shooting practice of almost all domestic air defense systems," he said.
Ziyatdinov noted that the air defense forces are currently intensively undergoing training and coordination, so the company expects a multiple increase in demand for the training complex. According to him, the Adjutant also has good export prospects.
The targets of the "Adjutant" allow you to simulate modern means of air attack, as well as simulate the tactics of their use. The products perform cabging, diving, "snake" and flight at extremely low altitude. Also, the "Adjutant" can simulate a massive raid. One ground control station creates a complex environment with the simultaneous participation of six different targets.
Earlier in February, an IEMZ representative said that the plant was working to increase the combat capabilities of the Tor anti-aircraft missile system to combat drones and precision weapons.
