OREANDA-NEWS The assets of the largest dairy holding company, EcoNiva, were transferred to a Russian company. The fact that the German Ekosem-Agrar has lost business in the Russian Federation was reported by business representatives.
According to the press service, the operating business and assets in the territory of the Russian Federation have come under the control of the company in the Russian jurisdiction. The former parent company of the group, the German Ekosem-Agrar AG, sold its shares in the business of EkoNiva LLC. The relevant agreements were signed a week earlier.
"The consolidation of both the operating units and the holding company itself located in the Russian jurisdiction has become necessary due to global geopolitical instability. This significantly hampered the group's activities in the format of the Russian-German structure, making it virtually impossible," the company explained.
Earlier it became known that Ruslan Alisultanov became the new owner of Unimilk, which was formerly called Vamin-Tatarstan. Unimilk indirectly controls the Health & Nutrition (H&N) group of companies, a former division of Danone. Representatives of H&N assured that the business is developing steadily and is increasing volumes, revenue and investments. Currently, the company has big plans involving the development, expansion of the product range and production volumes.
