OREANDA-NEWS The Arbitration Court of the Nizhny Novgorod region lifted the seizure of the entire property of the German automaker Volkswagen in the amount of 15.5 billion rubles. Interfax writes about this.

The court made this decision after considering the petition of four Volkswagen subsidiaries. The organizations demanded to cancel the court's decision of March 17 on the adoption of interim measures against the Russian assets of the German company. Judge Dmitry Okorokov said that the ruling was subject to immediate execution and could be appealed.

According to the Russian representative office of Volkswagen, the agreement with GAZ for the assembly of cars in Nizhny Novgorod was terminated by agreement of both parties. The company called GAZ's claims unfounded and not taking into account "objectively existing circumstances."
