Subaru Will Completely Suspend the Work of Factories in Japan due to Coronavirus

OREANDA-NEWS. Japanese automaker Subaru has announced the suspension of production at all of its plants in Japan due to the threat of the spread of a new coronavirus. This was reported on Wednesday by Japanese public television.
According to him, the work will be stopped from April 11 to May 1. Earlier, the Nissan automaker decided on March 31 to temporarily close the production line at its plant in Fukuoka Prefecture in western Japan in connection with the infection of employees working there with a new coronavirus. In Japan, there are currently more than 2.9 thousand cases of coronavirus infection, of which about 700 are passengers and crew of the Diamond Princess cruise ship. Most infections (521) are among Tokyo residents. The country recorded 77 deaths.
The outbreak caused by the new coronavirus disease was recorded at the end of 2019 in Central China, spread to more than 160 countries and was recognized as a pandemic by the World Health Organization on March 11.
