OREANDA-NEWS In 2023, the capital manufacturer Fora Robotics released a number of modern service robots, 80% consisting of Russian parts, to optimize simple workflows, said Daria Stepanova, Deputy head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy (DIPP).
"The capital, as the center of the Russian industry, relies on the development of innovative industries producing high-tech products and solutions. Enterprises make equipment for the industrial Internet of Things, complex AI products, robotic systems and other products," the press service quotes Stepanova.
According to her, in particular, a company has been operating in Moscow, which has been producing anthropomorphic service robots using AI for seven years. The developments consist of 80% Russian components, are trained to "read" voices and faces, can maintain a dialogue, and also use gestures. Robots can be used as administrators, consultants, tour guides, promoters and in other activities. In 2023, the company released 7 robots for socially significant institutions and enterprises in Russia.
Last year, 2 robots were sent at once to the St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications named after Professor Bonch-Bruevich to perform research work. Another car is serving in the information and exhibition space "Road Safety" in Cherepovets, Vologda region, where it implements an interactive educational program for students of local schools to promote safe behavior on the roadway. The robot is painted in the color of the uniform of a Traffic patrol officer. He knows the gestures of the traffic controller and holds contests for knowledge of traffic rules. The fourth robot is used as a consultant in one of the polyclinics of the Moscow region, the report says.
As the company's CEO Alexander Kuznetsov noted, the machines are created for specific customers, as well as based on certain tasks and requests. "On the third of February, we celebrate the 7th anniversary of the company and plan to reach a new level - to increase production, the number of orders and new projects. Today, we note the growing interest of business in robotics and see great prospects for the integration of robot assistants in enterprises, medical and educational institutions and cultural organizations. The plans for this year are to manufacture at least fifteen new devices," Kuznetsov added, quoted in the press service.
They recalled that the capital is a city with a developed manufacturing industry. Moscow can offer entrepreneurs more than 4 thousand industrial sites, which employ more than 725 thousand workers. Every year, about 150 enterprises appear that produce products for various purposes, including clothing, shoes, cosmetics, furniture, medicines, medical equipment and appliances.
Comfortable business conditions have been created in Moscow, allowing companies in the SME segment to actively develop. By locating at the capital's production sites, investors get the opportunity to enter expanded sales markets, as well as access to modern infrastructure and a greater number of support programs from the authorities. So, now entrepreneurs can count on more than twenty types of subsidies and specialized loans. In addition, there is a whole list of anti-crisis measures, the DIPP added.
