OREANDA-NEWS  Russian Helicopters Holding Company (part of Rostec State Corporation) has launched mass production of new Mi-171A3 helicopters for business trips, this is a new modification of the Aurus configuration, the company reports.

"Our Russian Helicopters holding company has demonstrated a new modification of the Mi-171A3 for business trips in the Aurus configuration... Russian Helicopters has already launched mass production of the basic model," the message says.

The company clarified that the car is capable of carrying up to ten passengers, its interior includes everything necessary for a comfortable flight, including long distances. The modification is also planned to be equipped with a special panoramic porthole, they added.

"The Mi-171A3 is equipped with a domestic digital avionics system. It allows you to pilot a helicopter in automatic and manual mode at any time of the day. At the same time, the helicopter does not need external landmarks. This makes the flight safe even in thick fog in the mountains or with low clouds," Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy General Director of Rostec, is quoted in the message.

The new helicopter was created to service remote hard-to-reach facilities, the corporation said. It can be operated in a wide range of climatic conditions, including in the Arctic, they noted.

All components of the aircraft are Russian-made, Rostec said. In particular, the Mi-171A3 received the latest domestic VK-2500PS-03 engines developed by the United Engine Corporation (UEC). They are equipped with an automatic control system BARK-6V-7C, which allows you to increase the power of the engine in emergency mode, ensures the maintenance of modes in a wider range of outdoor temperatures and increases fuel efficiency, the company added.
