OREANDA-NEWS To increase the production of chicken meat and eggs, Russian poultry farmers need the help and support of the state, without it it will not be possible to stimulate investments. This is stated in the appeal of the industry association Rospticesoyuz (unites more than 250 organizations) to the Ministry of Agriculture, which is referred to by Vedomosti.

Producers are asking to include the construction, reconstruction and modernization of poultry farms in the program of reimbursement of part of the direct costs incurred, to provide subsidies for the creation of infrastructure facilities, including gasification, electricity, water supply and water purification, communications and roads.

The letter states that for the development of the industry, companies need to raise the limit on attracting short-term concessional loans 2.5 times (from 600 million rubles to 1.5 billion), allocate such limits in a separate direction and give land for the construction of poultry houses as a priority.

A representative of the Ministry of Agriculture confirmed receipt of the appeal, but noted that the agency already supports poultry farmers. The total amount of state support for agriculture under the main sectoral programs in 2024 will amount to 558.6 billion rubles.
