A working meeting with representatives of wholesale pharmacological organizations chaired by Deputy Head Dmitry Parkhomenko was held at the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare.

It is noted that all market participants continue to do everything possible to build new supply chains. The increased demand for some drugs, registered in March-April 2022, has significantly decreased, Roszdravnadzor noted.

Earlier it was reported that foreign HIV drugs became cheaper in Russia. The Ministry of Health in 2022 significantly reduced the purchase of expensive modern foreign drugs for the treatment of HIV, which have no analogues, and increased the purchase of cheaper drugs. This is reported by the newspaper "Kommersant".

This is due to the fact that funding for such drugs is not increasing, but the number of patients with HIV is increasing. According to the newspaper, since June, the Federal Center for Planning and Organization of Drug Provision (FCPiLO), which is part of the Ministry of Health, has been buying HIV drugs at the expense of funds provided for by the 2023 budget. It is noted that the budget for 2022 in the amount of 30 billion rubles. already spent.
