OREANDA-NEWS. Rosneft signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Hydrocarbon Corporation of Mozambique (Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos E. P.) on cooperation in the development of offshore natural gas fields.

  "In accordance with the signed documents, Rosneft will have the right to study the available geological information on a number of land and sea blocks in Mozambique to assess their potential, as well as the possibility of participating in future projects in these areas," the Company said in a statement.

  The solemn ceremony of exchanging copies of the agreements took place on Thursday in the Kremlin after talks between Mozambique's President Philip Newsy and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
